Nursing Home Malpractice

Nursing Home Malpractice involves not only injury or death caused by the negligence of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospices and other elder care providers, it also includes cases of neglect and abuse.  Shockingly, senior citizens entrusted to these facilities fall prey to sexual abuse, malnutrition and dehydration, over-medication, use of restraints that cause injury, as well as that of bedsores, decubitus ulcers, falls and fractures.  Psychological, physical and emotional abuse often occur.

Injured residents (or those acting on their behalf) can bring suit against the facility's owner, as well as other health care providers involved in the circumstances.  Home health care aides are similarly responsible for any injuries they cause to those in their care.

A simple fall out of bed during the night can cause a devastating injury to a fragile senior citizen.  Often, this may be the result of a failure to follow proper fall precautions.

If you or a loved one has been harmed while residing at a nursing home, hospice, or other type of care facility, then please feel free to contact HKPD for an initial consultation at no charge to you.  An experienced HKPD personal injury lawyer is available to assist you, 24 hours per day / 7 days per week.  We're here to help you.
